Collagraph Printmaking

Have you always been curious about Printmaking but weren't sure you could do it without any experience? Then this is the workshop for you! You can learn in this 2 day course designed for those with no experience but lots of curiosity. Collagraph printmaking is an intaglio process using collage techniques to create printing plates. Using found materials, household items, and a bit of invention, you can get results unlike any other printmaking medium. Collagraph prints can also be easily combined with other printmaking processes. The first session will focus on collage techniques and operation of the printing press. During the second session, we spend the day experimenting with printing. You'll be using PAL's classic Griffin printing press that is newly refurbished to its original glory! No previous printmaking experience required, but also an excellent opportunity for those with experience that can't commit to a weekly class.
