Beginner Art Series: Intro to Drawing

If you would love to draw but just never learned how, this is the class for you. Caroline Mustard will take you in easy steps through the basics that are so often “assumed”, yet which are critical to acquiring the skill to draw:
• How to hold a pencil - sounds silly, but yet it is critically important.
• Taking a line for a walk - Caroline follows the basic drawing exercises created by famed art teacher and artist Paul Klee who noted: “Drawing is simply a dot going for a walk.”
• Textures and patterns - how to use your pencil (or pen) to create different textures and patterns. This is NOT drawing for dummies. It is a class that enables you to SEE and to draw what you SEE instead of what you think you see.
If you have ever wanted to draw and felt you lacked the skill or training, take this class and enter into a new world of being able to see things around you... Materials for the two first classes are provided.
12 week class.
